There is a common mistake in the manifesting world and it goes like this.
You hear that your thoughts create your reality. So you try to control your thoughts. But thoughts come automatically and you cannot control them all so you feel like you are failing. You try harder. You exhaust yourself. Nothing changes much. You conclude that either you are doing it wrong or the law does not really work.
Here is what is actually happening. Thoughts are not the creative power. Assumptions are.
The Distinction
A thought is a mental event that passes through. You think a thousand thoughts a day you do not believe, many of which contradict each other.
An assumption is different. An assumption is a thought you have settled into. A belief you have accepted as real. The quiet, underlying conviction that something is true about you, about the world, about what is possible.
Thoughts float across the surface of consciousness. Assumptions are what your creative life is built on.
And it is your consciousness, responding to the assumptions at its foundation, not the surface thoughts, that creates your outer reality.
This is why you can repeat “I am wealthy” a hundred times while feeling broke and nothing changes. The surface thought says one thing. The deep assumption says the opposite. The law responds to the assumption.
What This Means Practically
You do not need to police every thought. You need to examine your assumptions.
The assumption that you are someone money flows away from. The assumption that love is hard for you. The assumption that you are the kind of person things do not quite work out for. The assumption that your desire is possible for others but probably not for you.
These are the ones doing the creating.
And assumptions, unlike automatic thoughts, can be deliberately changed. Not through repetition of words. Through the felt inhabitation of a new state. Through SATS. Through revision. Through the consistent return to a different inner reality.
You cannot think your way into a new assumption. But you can feel your way in. And once the assumption genuinely changes, the thought stream changes naturally to match it.
One Assumption to Change
What is the one assumption that, if you changed it, would change the most?
Do not think about it too long. You already know. The one about money, or love, or your own worth, or your own power.
Name it. Then begin to build the new one.
The law is not responding to your thoughts. It is responding to what you have settled into as true.
Change what you have settled into. The rest follows.
